The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Hello im Bethany and I work in Waitrose High Wycombe and I am  raising money for The National Autistic Society`s National Autism Awareness Month in store with Waitrose Partners/Colleagues support and Customers...........I want to help raise awareness of autism as well as raise money so people like me can get the support needed whether its parents, schools  or in  the workplace !!

My Story

I was lately diagnosed age 11, and one of the first girls/woman in Buckinghamshire to be diagnosed as diagnosis is rarely in girls/woman its mostly seen in boys/men meaning many people was mis-diagnosed so I was then the therapy try-out person and it helped then them to diagnose over 100 girls in Buckinghamshire, I currently work in Waitrose High Wycombe and im very lucky to be with such a understanding/supportive company (MANY people with Aspergers/Autism DO-NOT have jobs due to companies struggling to provide the right support to meet the needs)

1 in 10 people have Autism/Asperger's so its becoming diagnosed more every day in children/young adults

Raising money will help others like me get the diagnosis and support needed.... there is not hardly any support in Buckinghamshire (there is when your really young and early days) but once get to teen/young adult there is nothing leaving MANY families with nothing. Nearest support groups for young children/teens is other side Aylesbury/Edge of London

So PLEASE even if its £1 it means everything to the charity
