Lake District 5 Peaks Challenge · 9 August 2019 to 10 August 2019 ·
❀ Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! ❀
In August of this year, I will be taking part in the Lake District 5 Peak Challenge and raising money along the way in aid of Animal Cancer Trust.🐾
I chose this brilliant charity to honour my best friend, Max, who we heartbreakingly said goodbye to last year due to cancer. He was the happiest, friendliest, stick obsessed fluff ball on 4 legs. He loved to spend his time adventuring and was the best partner in crime I could have ever wished for. It was the highest privilege to share his life with him so what better way to pay homage to that than doing what he loved to do best - WALK!
Just like humans, any animal can get cancer, and it comes in many different forms. The difference is, they cannot tell us if they are in pain, if they found a lump or if they feel unwell. It is up to us (human beings) to help them, from the very beginning to the end, in any way that we can. Whether you're the person who found a lump, the vet who treated the animal, the charity member conducting research or the fund raising hill walker, every little thing we do can make a big difference! I have met a few other dogs who have/have had cancer, and heard/read many different animal cancer stories. Learning about their journeys and bravery, I knew I had to choose a charity for this event that can help towards making a difference in their lives. 🐾
❀I am raising money for all animals, and joining the fight against Animal Cancer.
