Story
Imagine a life where you can only drink 400mls in one day. That’s less than two fruit shoots, A can of juice, With a normal bottle of soda is 500mls.
Imagine a life where you have to be at home before 8pm every single night, to ensure your child gets their daily home dialysis.
When you can’t take your family abroad or too far away from the hospital because they can not go with out their dialysis that they receive in hospital 3 or 4 times a week.
Missing out on school education, social activities, family members Birthday celebrations, a siblings sports day or your best friends wedding because you need to make sure that your child receives their life saving dialysis treatment.
Diet restrictions, missing out birthdays or spending Christmas Day in hospital.
These are just some of the areas that children and families are affected with loved ones who have a kidney disease.
Kidney Kids is a great charity who help and support children and their families with kidney disease and help to make life that little bit better.
As a nurse who works with children with kidney disease I have witnessed firsthand the effects of this disease. I have been there through the highs and the lows and I have been able to see how organisations and charities can help make a difference. And this is why I have chosen to to support Kidney Kids Scotland.
Please help and show your support as I prepare and “train” over the next 6 months to carry out the Great Wall of China trek in May 2018 and fundraise for Kidney Kids Scotland to help make a difference.
Thank you ❤️
