On 23rd November 2013 my daughter Madeleine was born. Due to some complications during her birth she spent 3 long weeks in the special care unit at Yeovil hospital. Her life depended on the care of the dedicated staff there and the vital equipment that they used. Thankfully Maddie pulled through and is a happy healthy little girl. Since then I found out about the Time is Precious charity which raises money for family friendly equipment that the NHS cannot afford to buy. This can include games consoles, board games, cot mobiles and sensory equipment to name only a few. This equipment is used by patients and their families to try and make, a sometimes prolonged stay, a little easier.
