WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Story

Thames Water's executive team are raising money for WaterAid as part of our Thames Loves Malawi campaign. Recently, the execs visited Malawi to witness first hand the work WaterAid do and the importance of the money we raise.
In Malawi, WaterAid are working with the government, communities and partner organisations to share skills, knowledge and experience to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene part of everyday life.

Currently, 1 in 3 people don’t have clean water and 9.6 million people don’t have access to a decent toilet.

The execs are raising money with the aim of building a virtual network and will be completing at least 12000 steps a day, highlighting how far some Malawians have to walk to get water.
