I strongly believe in the protection of environement, fauna and flora, which are the first human heritage.
Having participated in several wildlife protection projects on the Red Sea coast, I was challenged by the Durrell organisation's cause and decided to dedicate a few months of my life to it by taking up the 5th Durrell Challenge which has been delayed to September 27th 2020; It is as much a physical challenging performance which implies a strong personnal organisation as the service of a cause that is dear to me.
Durrell is an international charity that is on a mission to save species from extinction and create a wilder, healthier more colourful world. Durrell's work in the wild and at Jersey Zoo recovers wildlife, revives ecosystems and reconnects people to nature.
Having spent a lot of time in Normandy's nature reserves from my childhood, I have been taught most of everything I know about flora and fauna by my grand parents, especially from my grand father, whom has passed away in 2016. He was indeed amazed by nature and wildlife. I was touched by this organization of the Channel Islands, which has launched its first Challenge that same year 2016.
