The Marion Church Pedal to beat Cancer · 18 April 2019

We deliver mobile cancer care. We are dedicated to driving cancer care forward, bringing vital cancer care closer to thousands of patients. Through donations, we build and maintain mobile cancer care units, and together with the NHS, we want to help as many cancer patients as possible.

Story

Two Years ago Marion Church one of the Cooks of Wellington and Longforth House was diagnosed with Cancer. This was devastating for the team and Marion is still continuing to receive treatment through the Beacon centre in Musgrove park hospital.

Watching someone you care about go through Cancer treatment when there is nothing you can do about it, is one of the hardest things in the world. Hope for tomorrow are a charity that Provide vital cancer care closer to patients, enabling them to spend more time with family, friends and loved ones.

They develop, build, provide and maintain MCCUs to support patients who are going through Chemotherapy by alleviating the stresses and strains of travelling for appointments, along with reducing hospital waiting times.

Wane Hines and Chris Church (Registered Manager of Wellington House) but most importantly Son of Marion Church, have decided that instead of waiting on the side line we would do something to give back.

on the 18th April 2019 we will set off to complete the John O'Groats to Lands end cycle route which is roughly 900 miles and we will try to complete this in Approximately 9 days (fingers crossed A bit Quicker).

The money we raise will go to the hope for tomorrow charity which has been chosen by Marion.

Please give as much as you can Cancer treatment means the world to so many people and if we reach of target of £3000 not only will I try to spot the Loch ness monster as we pass but I will have a go at pushing Wayne in and taking a picture.
