We’re Wirral Mind, an independent, mental health charity offering services to those most in need. Our aim is to normalise conversations around mental health, tackle stigma and discrimination, promote understanding and support our community to live mentally healthier lives.

Story

My Mum Wendy Carpenter was a mum of 3, myself Chloe and my 2 younger brothers Sonny and Bode aged 12 and 14.  She has struggled with her mental health for a very long time, but this deteriorated over the last few years. She tried her best to battle this illness and was regularly seeking help. Unfortunately on the 18th May, she took a significant overdose, resulting in being admitted into ITU at Arrowe Park hospital. Due to the amount of damage caused, life support was withdrawn and she sadly passed away 28th May whilst I was holding her hand and listening to her favourite 80s songs.

She was the best mum and would do anything for anyone. Her last post on Facebook said that  if she got through this,  she would help 10 people. So, I am now taking this on, but I want to help as many people as I can. Before I start to look into doctors procedures and level of support, I am collecting donations for the Wirral mental health charity Mind.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Mind.
