Wendy Cowlishaw is raising money for Children's Heart Surgery Fund
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My son, Oliver was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect at six weeks old. Over the years Oliver has attended various appointments to monitor his progress.
In November 2014, I was delivered the news that Oliver would have to undergo open heart surgery to mend his tiny heart. My perfect, happy and very lively little boy I couldn't believe it.
Absolutely devastated but the days passed by and the day of his surgery finally arrived. The picture shown is my baby laid in Intensive Care LGI post surgery where he was monitored before transfer to the high dependency unit. It wasn't long before he was back on his feet, less than 48 hours after surgery he walked up to his surgeon Mr Jaber and thanked him for fixing his heart, in the cutest little Barnsley accent you can imagine.
All I can say is my boy bounced back like nothing had happened, this is all thanks to the amazing care he received at Leeds and I just want to give a little something back to show my appreciation!
So I will be running the Leeds 10k on 12 July and a doing a Skydive on 13 September. Any sponsor will be greatly appreciated.
