Cancer is one of the meanest, hateful, indiscreminate diseases around.
This time last year I met one of the most joyous women to ever have walked this earth. Her smile, warmth, open armed and warm hearted attitude to everyone was humbling. Her name was Julie Hall & and she had the strength to stick her fingers up to cancer. To such an extent that last year she got together a band of retrobate women and we walked the walk at the 20th London Moonwalk. Together we raised over £12k.
It is one of my most precious moments.
Cruelly, a few short weeks ago the cancer came back and a few days ago stole her from us. In this senseless unbalanced world this hateful spiteful disease took someone that it should never have. So, I am walking in memory of Julie, in the hope that I may be able to emulate in some small part the joyous and generous person she was.
