Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Win's JustGiving page.

Win,  benefitted from the Community Warden Service provided by Age UK - Cambridgeshire & Peterborough before she was taken into hospital and later a nursing home for palliative care

This simple, uncomplicated service offers a daily visit, 5 days a week, at a set time, from an experienced community warden.  This helped to reduced mum's social isolation during the difficult time of Covid and her decline with Alzheimers Disease.  The community warden was able to prompt mum to eat, keep an eye on her daily routine , share a conversation with her and inform the family when there were concerns.  The family are very grateful for this service in Waterbeach and therefore want to support the local branch of the charity Age UK to enable more people to benefit from their services

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
