Hello! Evie and I are running the Adidas women's 5k challenge on Sunday 6th September in Hyde Park. It is a long time since I have run that far, and it is the furthest Evie has ever run.

We are raising money, at Evie's suggestion, for the cystic fibrosis trust. When Hannah was a few months old, she underwent several tests for suspected CF. She did not, thankfully, test positive. Many babies do. It is the most common inherited life-threatening disease, and five babies each week are born with it. The CF trust are raising money to find a cure and allow such babies an adulthood.

I know. You get loads of these requests. But please. If everyone we know can donate £3 (just a pound for each of the three miles we will sweat and gasp round)  then we will feel our efforts will have been for a purpose [larger sums will, of course, be welcome]. If running were not enough, we shall also be wearing T-shirts in a deeply unflattering shade of yellow (and the obligatory lycra of course).
