I signed up to climb Kilimanjaro on a whim last year. Not feeling 100% myself one Sunday morning, I received a text inviting me to climb Kilimanjaro in over a years time. From the sofa I felt invincible, I thought I'd be able to conquer the world twice by then and still manage to run up Kilimanjaro, straight away I signed up. So here we are, a month to go and the realization of the challenge ahead has well and truly hit me.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about dropping out. With my good friend's mum, Paula Beagley, in mind I'm going ahead with the trip. She never gave up and nor can I.  Paula very sadly passed away in June last year to pancreatic cancer. Since then the Beagley family have been raising money and awareness. I've created this link to help raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK and support the Beagley family target of spreading awareness of the disease.

So please picture me, struggling and wishing I was back feeling smug on my sofa, and give as much as you can. Any donations are truly appreciated and are going to a great cause.
