Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My story.....

14 years ago this year, I lost a great friend and Dad (Keith Kneebone) to Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma - a form of cancer...he was only 52 years old and did not deserve to be taken so young.  My dad was a wonderful man and we all miss him dearly, he has not been here to see many of the important days in his childrens lives, or meet his grandchildren.  I would dearly love to help other cancer sufferers out there by raising money for this worthwhile charity who help to care for cancer sufferers in many ways.  I now have the opportunity to help others who may be suffering from cancer, in a way which will not only challenge me, but hopefully I can achieve - by taking part in the Moonriders London to Brighton ride on the 29th June 2012.

Let me tell you a bit more about what I'm going to do...no doubt a great deal of you will think I'm completely mad!  The Moonrider ride is a 100km (62 miles), it takes the same route as the day time London to Brighton only it takes part at night, I will be starting at midnight!  As you may be aware, I like my finess but am not a very accomplished cyclist, so this will be a challenge...I best get training!  The most accomplished riders can complete this in 4 - 5 hours, I will be trying my best to finish in 5 if possible (not sure if this is realistic or not) .So please, if you feel this is a worthwhile cause, please sponsor me, as little or as much as you are able to spare :0) Wendyxx
