Helen Creaser is raising money for Dove House Hospice

Story
The girls will be out in force and walking 8.5 miles from Hessle, over the Humber Bridge and back again!! Wands will be at the ready and hopefully the weather will be kind to us!
There will be 750 women all with the same goal- to raise vital money for Dove House Hospice whilst having a brilliant time! By raising sponsorship money we are helping Dove House add life to days when days can no longer be added to life.
Suzie and Carrie are now on their third year which was just after their mum passed away in the April of 2007.
Jo joined the girls last year and Helen, Mads and Becs are joining this year.
Dove House is close to all our hearts and we support events whenever we can.
Carrie and Jo's Grandad spent his last days in Dove House and was there when Princess Diana spent the day there. They have many happy memories of that visit and their mum volunteered in the Gipsyville shop for many years following his death, until she became ill herself.
They were recently back at Dove House visiting Uncle Don. He passed away earlier this year.
Helen's Grandma passed away 4 years to the day of the walk and raised thousands for Dove House through her knitting of soft toys, blankets and clothing. Unfortunately when she became ill with cancer Dove House was already full and she was unable to be admitted. Sadly she died before space became available. Had she been able to go there Helen knows those final days would have been happier ones.
