West Mercia Police Team E Charity Walk · 4 November 2018

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are members of Team E, West Mercia Police at Worcester.

One of our close colleagues was diagnosed 2 yeas ago with Prostate Cancer and after undergoing very invasive treatment has survived this disease and returned to work.

We decided that we would like to do something to give back to those working on better treatments for this disease.

It will have the added benefit of letting us get together on one of our days off and "put the world to rights" while getting some fresh air.

About a dozen of us and a handful of four legged friends are leaving Worcester Police Station at about 9am on Sunday 4th November 2018 and we will cross Sabrina Bridge and walk up the River Severn to Holt Fleet.

After a light lunch at the Holt Fleet Pub we will again cross the river and then walk back down to Worcester.
We expect to finish between 4pm and 6pm after walking about 15 miles.

Each of us is gathering personal sponsorship but we would like to offer the opportunity for anyone else to donate as well.

We will close this collection page and submit the money to Prostate Cancer UK at the end of November 2018.
