At Princess Alice Hospice, we provide exceptional end of life care in our hospice and in the community. We know we can’t prevent death, but we do whatever we possibly can to make it the best it possibly can be. But, above all, we believe that hospice care is for living.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my  fundraiser in aid of the Macmillian Nurses who cared for my Father, Chris, at the Princess Alice Hospice.

Just before Christmas, after a courageous fight against prostrate cancer, my Father spent the last three and a half weeks of his life at the hospice where the nurses of the green and blue team and their colleagues provided  Chris with exceptional palliative care. Moreover, they provided outstanding emotional support to his family, in particular to Chris's wife Teresa and son David.

Indeed, in my opinion, both The Macmillan Nurses and the Hospice set the standard to which all should aspire to acheive in palliative care and I am so grateful that Chris was afforded the opportunity to be cared for by them.

So, since I am embrking on a 10,000 mile cycle tour of America, it crossed my mind that this provided an ideal opportunity to raise some money for the Macmillan Nurses and the Hospice.

Therefore, as a small token of my gratitude to the Macmillan Nurses and the care offered by the Princes Alice Hospice, I would appriciate any donations that you can afford to give.  Thanks.
