At The White Lion we are fundraising for the Downs Syndrome Development Trust based in Seaford, East Sussex. 

The trust recently wrote to us asking for help after finding themselves facing funding issues due to the recent coronavirus outbreak. 

The children cared for by the Trust are suffering significantly with the new enforced changes to their routine which result in meltdown and disruptive, challenging behaviour. Consequently, parents now require urgent assistance with helping to plan work to keep children engaged and support problem solving issues as they arise with the daily challenges of caring for their child at home during this extended period. 

The Trust are urgently fundraising to implement effective, alternative methods to support families by delivering activities streamed via video link/webcam and offering face-time support and advice via phone calls. 

The estimated cost of this additional IT software and support is in excess of £5,000, money which the Trust sadly does not have. 

With our help we can help them to reach their target quickly and provide essential support to families in need.
