Windsor Running Festival · 26 September 2015 to 27 September 2015 ·
Julia, Frances and Rob - three (un)lucky members of the Whitehouse team - have foolishly chosen to run 13.1 miles around a hilly Windsor with next to no training in aid of the company’s pro bono client for 2015, Action for M.E.
Who are Action for M.E?
Action for M.E. is the UK’s leading charity for people affected by Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, a chronic illness that causes symptoms affecting many body systems including the nervous and immune systems.
Why are Whitehouse running for them?
Whitehouse has a long history of unpaid work with charities and the local communities, and every year provides one organisation with a year’s worth of public affairs support absolutely free. This year, Whitehouse will be working with Action for M.E to push this often misunderstood illness up the health and social care agenda and communicating the needs of people with M.E. to those newly elected parliamentarians. We’re combining this with a number of company-wide fundraising efforts along the way, from rattling tins at the Great British Beer Festival to a timely “Whitehouse Bake-Off”.
Why donate?
Action for M.E is a truly brilliant organisation but unlike some charities does not get huge amounts of corporate sponsorship. Therefore individual fundraising efforts are vital for maintaining their excellent work. Every penny really does matter.
Your generous donations will keep us going as our feet pound the pavement of Windsor – thank you in advance!
