We promote Inclusive Cycling opportunities to challenge the perceptions of disability.

Story

Whoosh is an intrepid band of cyclists of all ages, many of whom have been cycling together every May Bank Holiday since 2003. Each year we take 4-5 days to cycle somewhere in the UK, to enjoy cycling, the countryside, good company, and to raise money for charity. See https://www.facebook.com/HHWhoosh/ for a bit more about the group.

This year we are cycling from Fishguard, south Wales to the Lincolnshire coast; diagonally across Wales and England.

We want to support Wheels for Wellbeing, a charity that is local to us that promotes inclusive cycling. Giving everyone the chance to enjoy the great outdoors on a bicycle is a cause that is close to our hearts but we know it is difficult for lots of people because of illness or disability. Wheels for Wellbeing makes it possible for more people to discover the fun and independence of cycling with their adapted cycles, helpers and supported cycling sessions.  Please find out more on their website http://www.wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk/

We hope you agree and will want to give generously. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. JustGiving will never sell your details or send unwanted emails. Your money is sent directly to the charity making it efficient and easy for you and the charity.

Wheels for Wellbeing encourages and supports disabled people to cycle. We run regular cycle sessions using a wide range of 2,3 and 4 wheeled cycles and provide 1-1 lessons for people who want to learn to ride a bicycle or improve their skills so they can ride on the road with confidence.
