In many rural areas across the globe children are denied access to basic needs due to the barrier of distance. World Bicycle Relief’s mission is to provide sustainable, appropriate bicycles to mobilise and empower individuals and communities so they can travel to schools, clinics and markets.

Story

Tom led an extraordinary life and was just 33 when he passed away.

On 18th June 2022, I'll be running the 43km Glow Worm Tunnel Marathon in Tom's memory and raising money for World Bicycle Relief.

World Bicycle Relief helps people in rural communities overcome the distance barrier to attend school, receive healthcare, deliver goods to market and other critical services needed to thrive.

My target of £2,400 will cover the cost of 14 life-changing bikes (£170/bike).

Selene and I will match the first £1,200 donated.

In 2009, Tom and I headed to Prague together and ran our first marathon. Help me reach (and hopefully exceed) this fundraising target in memory of a dear friend.

Thank you.
