Story

My daughter Immy had her life saved by Osama, Ali and Phil from the Children's Acute Transport Service (CATS). Osama swept into our local hospital who were struggling to cope with the rapid deterioration of her condition, preformed quick field surgery on her and stabilised her before transporting her to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

CATS provides emergency care when children are at their most vulnerable - away from the amazing team at GOSH (part of the same NHS trust).

Day to day running costs are provided by the NHS, but charitable donations to CATS helps them to look at new ideas, cutting edge technology and how they can most effectively use it to provide acute care in the field.

Royal Bank of Canada's primary charity is GOSH, and I will be supporting GOSH through the next six months as they help Imogen through the blood cancer we now have learned is the underlying cause of the illness.

In the mean time, the chemotherapy is going to make her hair fall out and I'm going to take the opportunity to make her feel a little more normal by joining her as a bald head while raising money for the amazing people at CATS.

So please donate to my campaign and I will shave my head to help other kids get the lifesaving help they need.

Date to be determined by Immy's hair loss (still have to warn hurt about that...). Head shaving kindly donated by the Wacky Barber Company, a mad group of people with awful jokes to liven up a rainy day (and cut your hair). Branches on Long Lane, Carter Lane and somewhere else...
