Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims never to turn away a dog or cat in need of help.  They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners through their Lost Dogs & Cats Line or care for them until new homes can be found, giving them shelter and the highest standards of veterinary care. 

 

Last year we decided to adopt a dog from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home at Old Windsor. It was a huge decision that would affect every aspect of our life. After lots of consideration and support from Battersea we were introduced to our dog Jasper. Not sure who was more nervous at the time, us or him?! Turns out, it was the best decision we have ever made!

Jasper was found by the staff of Battersea, he had been abandoned, was malnourished, scared and was only half his body weight. All he wanted in life was a home and to be loved.

Thanks to the wonderful staff at Battersea and all the good work they do this became a reality.

 

I am doing this run to raise money and awareness for the work that Battersea do for the thousands of animals that are lost and abandoned each year… This is also my way of saying “Thank you” for saving my best friend Jasper.
