At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi there, my name is William Kneeshaw.
I am a student at Leeds trinity, and last year my Great-Granny died. She was a Alzheimer's sufferer and seeing someone I had such fond memories of as a child, in that situation was horrible.
She was a loving Mother/Sister/Wife/Grandmother and Great-grandmother, whom so many people loved.
It is in her memory i do this. I will walk from Edinburgh to Winchester diverting to all of her families towns, in her name. I want to show the people of the world what a loving person she was and how many peoples lives she was a part of.
In all of this will be in aid of the Alzheimers society who work their hardest to provide safety and care to people subject to this horrible disease.
Because of this I hope you all will donate. I am not doing this for me, I am doing this in Dorothy's memory. I am doing this to show the world that people do care. I am doing this because everybody is affected by Alzheimer's in some way, whether you are a sufferer or not.
My aim is for £200 but personally i hope we can raise more then that. Please do share this and help raise awareness.
