Stafford Half Marathon · 15 March 2020

We support families of children and adolescents with cancer from anywhere in the UK. CCPA helps to ease the desolation that families feel when their child is diagnosed with cancer through a network of support groups. The charity provides advice and information on all aspects of childhood cancer.

Story

We want to end our charity year at the Screwfix Stafford site with a bang . We are taking on one last challenge to raise money for our charity partners this year, Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance and Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre.

CCPA provides support, encouragement and advice to families whose children have a cancer diagnosis, both during and after treatment.  They organise support groups and days out for families as well as offering free advice on a range of topics from accessing benefits to taking a sick child on holiday.

Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre is a sanctuary for exotic animals and birds of prey, as well as a hospital for the treatment of wild raptors. They provide a home for over 30 species of birds of prey, primates, raccoons, invertebrates, reptiles, cats and more that have been abandoned or mistreated.
