At Changing Lives we believe that everyone deserves a safe home, a rewarding job and a life free from addiction or abuse. By focusing on their strengths, potential and opportunities, we help over 14,000 people overcome their problems and live safe, successful, independent lives each year.

Story

At our projects in Wolverhampton and Walsall, we work with women within the community that have faced multiple challenges in their lives Many of the women we support have experienced some form of trauma in the past and ongoing as an adult, which can make it difficult to face the challenges of everyday life. Subsequently they may experience homelessness, addiction, offending, engage in selling sex as a means to survive or end up in an abusive relationship.

For the women we support it can often be difficult to see a way out, but we show them that there is and that support is available to them. We help women to stay safe and give them support to improve their wellbeing, reduce re-offending and get back into training, employment and education.

This Christmas, Changing Lives in Wolverhampton and Walsall will not be doing their annual Handbag Campaign. This is due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, which will make it difficult to store, clean and distribute the items which are usually donated in the Handbag Campaign. Instead, the team in Wolverhampton and Walsall have created a Just Giving page for you to donate directly to the projects. We hope that you will continue to support us this year.

The money raised from this campaign will be used to buy the items which are in most demand at this time. This may be items such as toiletries, food and personal alarms
