Story

Warm welcome to my Just Giving page and lovely to have you here...

Just want to say a few things....

In my life im touched by so many inspirational, happy, positive beautiful people that make life that little bit easier... and often we are touched by some people who remind us what life should be about...the world lost one helluva girl a few months back and im raising a bit of cash in memory of the Wonderful Joyce Stringer.

To those honoured to know this brilliant woman...i need say no more...everyone one of us smile when Joyces name is mentioned...and have a fantastic tale to tell....and to those who never got to meet her...ill just say....she was a STAR!

Going to be doing a few things for a bit of fun....

MOVEMBER...DONE and what a mighty fine Mo it was too...became quite attached to it and reluctantly had to bid it fairwell,as per the Movember roolz...IT SHALL RETURN ;-{)~

EDINBURGH MARATHON May 2012 ...DISASTER!

A week before the marathon, was out for a run and bust my right calf muscle! and sadly and with regret i had to pull out of the event! Not an easy decision however i will now be running the.....

RunLiverpool MERSEY TUNNEL 10K Sunday 10th June

Done and very proud of myself I have to say. Ran with a very sore calf still not right from pulling it a few weeks back, but found a way to run were it gave me the least jip(think Charlie Chaplin running for a bus ;-) and completed the course having had to stop periodically to rest it and also managed 2 toilet stops!! in a mighty time of...1 hour 23mintes .Position 2581 out of 3500..reckon I can beat an hour on the next 10k.

And now onto.....

The WIRRAL 26 MILE BIKEATHON Sunday 17th June...Done and we had a brilliant time getting muddy on the bike tracks and sight seeing around the more celubrious parts of the Wirral...managed the first loop of 14miles but advised the second loop of 12miles was mainly road so opted for safety so one loop it was. Che came off couple of times and is a bit bruised but the wee man just jumped on his bike and soldiered on....he is a star.

Next adventure TBA ;-)

UPDATE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My wonderful wee man Che ran the Santa Dash in Liverpool early December and wore his MacMillan TShirt in Memory of his lovely pal Joyce... always mentions Joyce when he puts on his TShirt...very proud to honour Joyces memory.
