Story
Since Dolly was found abandoned in a shoebox at only 4 weeks old, Wood Green's team have been looking after her day and night. Donate now to help care for her until she's old enough to find a forever home of her own.
She was found, covered in fleas, far too young to be away from her mum and so small that we couldn’t even see what breed she was. I’m sure you’re as horrified as we are that such things can still happen to dogs in this day and age.
Luckily, Dolly was brought to Wood Green, and our dedicated vets were there, ready to start caring for her and giving her the fresh start she deserves. Our vets found huge worms in her tummy and she even had a wound on her neck. It’s unbearable to think what would’ve happened if she hadn’t been brought to us.
Too young to stay in the kennels while she recovered, she’s been going home with one of our team every night. She still needs feeding every four hours, so her fosterer has to deal with sleepless nights, as well as the burden of endless cuddles.
Dolly’s doing great now! She’s on solid food and is a bright pup. She’s bonded well with her foster carer and the other dogs in the home are teaching her how to be a fully rounded pup.
It’s going to be a few weeks until Dolly is big and strong enough to be adopted, but we’re sure it’s not going to take long for this little charmer to find her forever home.
