Story
The 4th February is World Cancer Day; a global observance that helps raise peoples awareness of cancer and how to protect, prevent or treat it. We're getting involved to raise awareness of bowel cancer, the second biggest cancer killer in the UK.
Around 110 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every day, that's someone every 15 minutes. BUT 90% of people could be treated successfully if diagnosed early. Too many lives are being lost because of late diagnosis.
Together, we can make sure more people fall into that 90%. Not only can we save the lives of individual people, but it means their family and friends won't lose someone they love.
If you could make a donation to help beat bowel cancer then it would be so appreciated. If you could then share this page after making a donation so that more people read about the symptoms that would be even more amazing.
Thank you so much for your support and for making a difference.
Anyone experiencing one or more of these symptoms for three weeks or more should go and see their GP:
- Bleeding from the bottom or blood in your poo
- A persistent change in bowel habit
- Abdominal pain
- A lump in your tummy
- Unexplained weight loss or tiredness
