I am cycling with my brother (Michael) from London to Paris in July this year not only as a personal challenge but also more importantly to raise money for charity.

We have chosen two charities Little Hearts Matter and the British Heart Foundation. The money we raise will be split evenly between both charities once we have completed our ride.

Little Hearts Matter offers support and information and raises awareness of those affected when a child is born with half a working heart, due to a congenital condition such as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). 

A few years ago, close friends of ours lost their first child, Emily, due to HLHS. Little Hearts Matter helped them immensely during this tragic time. Our friends have drawn strength from setting up a fund in Emily's name and have raised a lot of money in her memory over the intervening years in order to help other parents who have had to face a similar tragedy. We are delighted to continue supporting this small but wonderful charity and the amazing advances that the Emily Hey Fund has provided."
