The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity dedicated to raising money for lifesaving childhood cancer research and funds more in childhood cancer grants than any organization except for the U.S. government.

Story

Hi! This is Xavier, I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. I am currently reaching the final stretch of the 186km Camí de Cavalls, a primitive hiking trail that traces the entire perimeter of the fascinating Spanish island of Menorca.

With about a third of the total 20 stages of the Camí left to tackle in the short time remaining, I have decided to dedicate my final efforts to the impressive children's cancer charity, St Baldrick's Foundation. Many know that this is a very personal cause for me and I am extremely grateful for incredible past support.  More recently, in 2018, I raised over $20,000 as part of our extended family's success raising $1.5 million over the course of 3 years, all in honour of my cousin Olivia Egge (who is with me at the moment in Menorca, doing incredibly well!), an osteosarcoma patient. As the treatment and survival rate of children's osteosarcoma unfortunately has not wavered in the past 40 years, proceeds are directly invested to fund groundbreaking research grants, in order to develop better treatments for the brutal disease, and, ultimately, help find a cure!

Giving is very straightforward - you can donate in most currencies, with credit/debit card or Paypal.

I truly hope that this tiny effort, with your help, can continue the endeavour to put an end to childhood cancer once and for all.

Thank you very much!
