Story
THE CHALLENGE
On Saturday, 1 October 2022, five Seer 365 employees (James Harmer, Anthony Stillman, Adam Palmer & Nick Hulbert) will be doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, a tough 25-mile hike with over 1,500m of ascent, taking on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. To put it another way, we are planning to walk almost a marathon distance and climb higher than Ben Nevis, in under 12 hours (hopefully under 10 hours - fingers crossed)!
Our training for this challenge only started five weeks before the event date(!) as that is when our colleague, James Harmer, came up with the idea, so wish us luck. We will definitely need it (-: We are not quite 'all the gear and no idea' but it certainly won't be a walk in the park.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
Why are you doing this, I hear you ask? Well, firstly, we all like a personal challenge but secondly and more importantly, we thought this is an ideal way for us to raise some much-needed funds for Seer 365's chosen charity for 2022, The Access Project (see details about it below).
OUR FUNDRAISING TARGET
We originally set our combined fundraising target at £500, then £1000, then £1200 but as we've beaten that, we've upped our target again to £1500, so please give generously if you can and help us to meet and hopefully exceed this impressive new target.
Many thanks.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR CHOSEN CHARITY
In the UK today, disadvantaged young people are five times less likely to go to a top university than their more advantaged peers. And that gap has only widened since the pandemic. That means that each year 17,500 miss out on a place that their talent warrants, and all the opportunities that a top education can bring. That is why this year, Seer 365 has nominated The Access Project as our chosen charity.
This worthwhile cause helps talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach top universities, so they can realise their potential and access a range of more rewarding careers. They do this through a unique combination of one-to-one tuition and in-school mentoring. And their approach really works. Their students are twice as likely as other young people like them at other schools to reach a top university.
