Hello! My name is Matty and I am part of YHA Ambleside, and on April 17th, supported by other members of the hostel team, I will be attempting the first ever YOD Challenge - YHA One Day Challenge!

The challenge is to reach all 18 Lake District YHAs in one day under your own power. It is a route with 15,000ft elevation and over 100 miles of the most stunning and formidable Lakes terrain! 

Here is what I need from you....

(1) ....a donation of any amount that will support YHA so they can reach young people and families with the most challenging lives and provide them with life changing experiences.... 

(2) ...then you need to visit www.yhayod.com and find out how you, or someone you know, could attempt the challenge! 

(3) ....share information about my attempt (or your attempt) being sure to use the Facebook page (@theyhayod), Instagram (yhayod), and Snapchat (@yhayod)! 

(4) ...Finally, become part of the #YODsquad and continue to support the challenge as it grows! Stay in touch via yhayod@gmail.com !

In essence, this is the biggest orienteering course in the Lake District that makes sense and I would be honoured if you could support the event and help me raise money for YHA! Together we can share the wonders of the Lakes and change lives forever!
