Story

The Mustard Seed Project is a charity we have supported at the Prep School for a number of years now, and we would welcome your support in helping them by sponsoring your child to participate in the Water Run. Every child in the school will be taking part on the final day of term.

Water is a precious resource so we will not be using large quantities of it. Staff will be using water pistols and sponges, while there will be a sprinkler at the end too. The children will come into school on the day in their uniform and trainers. They may wish to bring a spare t-shirt and a towel.

The Mustard Seed Project provides quality education and food for poor children in Mombasa. Class sizes are 30 or under and we have excellent academic results. We have just completed construction of our our own building after 11 years. We need to continue with the feeding programme which is, for many, the only food they receive each day. With additional resources we shall be able to improve the quality of education even further through laptops, training and play equipment.

About the charity

We are a small UK charity supporting the people in a deprived area of urban Mombasa. We have built a school for 300 poor children and provide quality education and a feeding programme. We are now hoping to sponsor some of our children for secondary education.
