Ruthann Curran is raising money for The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust

Team: GH team

In memory of Gina Hirst
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.

Story

In memory of our wonderful, witty, brave and beloved friend, Gina, this Sunday we are taking on the Chiltern challenge! We would be really grateful if you would donate to this amazing charity that enabled Gina to live life to the full that little bit longer.

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust uses sailing to help support, empower and inspire young people after cancer. Invited on two sailing trips, Ben said Gina loved the sunsets over the sea and the feeling of movement on the boat.

This challenge will be an emotional one as much as physical, with a few tears and lots of laughter along the way as we share our fondest memories of our housemate, teammate and friend. I'm sure we will all have a giggle knowing Gina's thoughts on hill walkers and soggy sandwiches in particular!
