Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

Our beloved Grandfather Yiannos Nicholas passed away peacefully on 30th September 2020.

He was 93 years old and the last surviving sibling of the ‘Nicholas Bros’ family. Originally from Komi Kebir, he came to the UK in January 1947 and, together with his six siblings, opened and ran the Nicholas Bros wedding dress factory and Nicholas Bros travel agency in London. He leaves behind his wife Photine (Bella), children Jack, Christine and Nick, daughters-in-law Helen and Andriana and son-in-law Spyros. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Joanna, Jonathan, Melanie, Christina, Jon and Andreas and four great grandchildren, Dimitri, Elena, Anthony and Louis.

Yiannos had a wonderful life, he was a true gentleman with a huge heart and strong family values. He had incredible respect for everyone and always strived to help those in need.

We would like to honour his memory by raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK, whose work is invaluable and vital in finding a cure for diseases that cause Dementia.

Rest in peace our dear Pappou. We love you.
