Just over 3 months ago I (Ruth) hit rock bottom in life. I almost left my parents with no daughter, my brother with no sister and my niece without her auntie. Life felt like there was no worth. It would be rude of me not to mention that my sister in law saved me with a simple hug on Tuesday 11th October 2016. Her and my brother took me in and looked after me for several weeks and seeing my niece daily made me realise all the things I could of missed in life! 

One thing I will never forget was the moment they forced me (of course to help me) to go and see Tom and moodswings, I was reluctant as I was in such a bad place. With no choice and being forced to get in the car with my brother and go I can honestly say it's the best thing they made me do. Tom is a wonderful individual who has made me realise just how important every minute of everyday is and I certainly would not be here without his or the teams help at moodswings. This charity run organisation go out of there way to save individuals daily and that alone means more and more. With mental health/ suicides and general depression being a huge issue in society at the moment I believe there is no better way than to say thank you to those people doing a great job to help whether that's in a big way or small way. 

Many people joining me on this challenge have been through their own battle in some small or large way and jumped at the chance when I mentioned to the girls I was doing this and again I cannot thank those people enough for joining me that simple Yes made me realise how great people are. 

you may read this and believe it is my sister in law and brother I should thank first I know they would agree on saying moodswings changed me for the better, helped me and made me improve daily and would wish for me to do this!
