Dear Friends,

After years of running, sledge pullling and finishing New York Marathon in November I have decided to give my joints a break and picked up cycling, with which I totally fell in love.

A friend of mine, a keen cyclist, made me aware of an amazing challenge called the Dallaglio Cycle Slam, a 2.888km cycle ride from Rome to Murrayfield, Edinburgh,  via all Six Nations in 24 days.

I am participating in Stage 4 of this Challenge, cycling from Twickenham to Fishguard in Wales, leaving on the 28th of February. This will take us 5 days. Can you imagine the weather!!!!

We will be raising money for Cancer Research and Help for Heroes, via Sports Relief. Indirectly cancer has affected the lives of so many friends of mine and I hope that by participating in this cylcing madness, I will be able to make a difference.
