Nystagmus means involuntary movements of the eye. It impairs vision, affecting focus and depth perception. At least 1 in 1,000 babies are born with nystagmus. There is currently no cure. The Nystagmus Network is a UK registered charity which provides support, raises awareness and funds research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

15Km per week won’t sound a lot to many of you, but I commute and work in an office-based role and struggle to fit in exercise.   I hope to make permanent changes to improve my lifestyle as I am approaching becoming officially “over the hill” – while at the same time hopefully raising some funds for the Nystagmus Network and awareness of the condition.

Nystagmus significantly impacts the day to day lives of 1 in 1000 including one of my grandchildren and a nephew.  I have set myself a target of £500 and have committed to make up any shortfall.
