Yvonne Peart is raising money for Living Waters Christian Centre
Story
I volunteer every Wednesday for LWCC who run a food service based in Honor Oak Park SE4. The charity supports the local community, and the people living in Lewisham and the surrounding areas. I am the 2nd person on the right in the above picture.
LWCC run a number of initiatives to improve the health and nutrition of the people who live in the community as well as provide free emergency food supplies.
The charity has worked jointly with Lewisham Council to provide a number of Love Food Hate Waste cooking classes for Lewisham residents. There the participants learned new recipes and how to cook nutritious food on a low budget.
Last summer a series of free fitness boot camps were run for the local community.
British Telecom has kindly offered a van to LWCC at a much reduced price. The sponsored walk is to raise funds to pay for the van and insurance. The van is needed to collect supplies from the various supermarkets and organisations that support the services that the charity provides.Please help me reach my target of £1000.
