Story
In March I went out to aid the Syrian refugees living in poverty near the Syrian border in Jordan. After witnessing the huge difference we managed to make to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world, I have been given another opportunity which I couldn't ignore.
Insha'Allah I am travelling out to Mosul in Iraq to assist on the ground and deliver your zakaat and sadaqah in person. I will be there just in time for when Ramadhan begins, ready to serve the people with your help. People are fasting during the month of Ramadhan without much of a suhoor or iftaar so our aim is to deliver food packs so people have food on the table just like we do. The food packs will also be sufficient for them to be able to eat on the blessed day of Eid ul-Fitr.
(Family food pack cost is £60 and will feed a family of 5 for the whole of Ramadhan and Eid).
This is an excellent opportunity for those that wish to benefit by giving their zakaat in Ramadhan, as I will be on the ground in the first week of the blessed month hand delivering the food aid that your donations will buy.
As many of you may know, the situation in Mosul (Iraq) is deteriorating each day, and there are many families who are fleeing their homes to end up in make shift camps which are under-funded and innocent families are living in the most dire conditions.
More of the city has been liberated meaning that more and more people have been left displaced and without any shelter or food.
I urge you all to support me in my mission to try and improve the situation for the victims of the ongoing conflict, who have had to leave everything behind to seek safety.
