In memory of Pete

I'll always remember Peter Cheeseman as Petey Pop. He was a good friend and like a second dad to me. He was a joker through and through, lightening the mood with his banter. He used to wind me up something rotten but he would always stick up for me, normally when Steve was being annoying! We used to talk about everything really. He had so many interesting tales to tell about the people he'd met, the jobs he'd had, the pranks he'd pulled. The infamous one he pulled on me was when he got me to go into a shop and ask to buy a bubble for a spirit level.
Unfortunately, Petey got ill earlier this year, he developed a blood clot, then it was discovered he had a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and finally it was discovered he had a rare type of cancer. Poor Petey Pop. In the end after a round of chemo the aneurysm got him.
As a family, Pete, Steven, Zachary and I, we had started making plans because he had started to look better and sound more like himself again. Trips to the natural history museum were on the horizon and we are on the brink of finally finishing the kitchen. And now he isn't here to see it to the end.
This is why Steven and I would like anyone who knew Pete and would like to honor his memory to donate to the Circulation Foundation, the vascular research charity. So more people in the future can find out if they are at risk of developing a vascular disease, and if they do develop a vascular disease can get better treatment and advice.
