Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.My name is Zipporah Murtagh i decided to create my own page because so many people are not aware of this charity or MSA.

. MSA  is a progressive neurological disorder

. The disorder affects movement co-ordination and automatic body functions

. At present no known cure exists

Multiple system atrophy usually progresses more quickly than Parkinson's disease. The remaining lifespan after the onset of symptoms is on average about 9 years.

Almost 80% of patients are disabled within 5 years of onset of the motor symptoms, and only 20% survive past 12 years.

Having lived with this and only learning about this since 2008 i have realised how hard this is and cant imagine what it must feel like for my mother. My mum used to be a very independent women was able to drive, worked as a nurse and loved life.

My mother now is in a wheel chair 24/7 and has to have constant care aroud the clock. This charity is close to my heart now and i am determined to raise as much money as i can.
