Back in 2011 our brother was riding his bike when he was involved in a road side collision. His heart stopped immediately and he wasn't breathing due to a fractured skull and chest injuries leading to two collapsed lungs. 

The Air Ambulance were dispatched immediately and upon arrival resuscitated Joe at the roadside.  They then anaesthetised him to minimise swelling to his brain and performed a thoracostomy; a surgical procedure which allowed trapped air surrounding his lungs to escape from his chest before flying him from Walton-on-Thames to Royal London Hospital in only 10 minutes. 

The odds were against Joe and the paramedic teams told us how they were waiting for a call to hear that he didn't survive the trauma. 

However, thanks to the amazing, fast response from the Surrey Air Ambulance Joe (nick named 'Miracle Boy') made a full recovery in 6 months and has gone on to annoy his sisters ever since. 

Just to get the helicopters off the ground can cost £2500 for which they receive no funding and are totally reliant on donations like yours. This is £2500 to save more lives like my brothers.
