Great North Run 2015 · 13 September 2015 ·
Myself and Doug are running the Great North Run on 13th September which is a total of 13.2 miles. We’re raising money for St Gemma’s Hospice who provided care for Doug’s mum, Eileen, who suffered from Cancer and sadly passed away when he was 12 years old. The provided care and support at a very difficult time has a very special place in Doug’s heart.
We’re looking to raise as much money as possible to help St Gemma’s hospice continue their excellent work.
St Gemma’s Hospice is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in England. They provide the best possible care and quality of life for local people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. It’s a friendly, warm and safe place at the heart of the local community with a large range of expert services to support patients, their families and friends. Care is focussed around the needs of the individual and we are respectful of all beliefs, religions and cultures. The cost of providing such amazing treatment isn't cheap and that's why we need you to help us raise money for such an incredible charity. To give you an idea of the cost, we have provided details of the care needed by each patient.

Thanks
