Totally over the moon that I have been chosen to run the London Marathon 2018 in aid of a wonderful charity, MS-UK. My Auntie was diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS and it is aggressive. A small percetage of people in the UK are diagnosed with this type of MS and it is the worst type.

Just 3 years ago my Auntie enjoyed life to the full and used to love walking, riding bikes and shopping. Soon she will no longer be able to walk. Since that time we have observed a deterioration which has gathered pace which means she cannot walk further than 20 yards unassisted. 

This devastating affliction has taken control of her mind and body - even the simplest of tasks like washing her hair, making a cuppa and eating (things that we all take for granted) represent a huge challenge for her and others like her. The prognosis is bleak and upsetting for a young wife and mother. There is no medication and no known cure so running and raising money for MS-UK is an honour to help those affected continue living their lives normally for as long as possible. 

Also running with 2 of my close friends, David Morse and Oliver Meredith. I want to raise as much as possible so please, if you have any spare change, that would be greatly appreciated - let the training commence. 

MS-UK was established in 1993, and is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with multiple sclerosis to make the most of today, and live life to the full.MS-UK put people affected by MS at the heart of the work that they do. They provide high quality, professional services to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and they listen to people affected by MS.
