Story

For my sister in law Lezanne

In July 2011, at the age of 38, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  No-one can prepare you for that devastating news and the long and difficult journey ahead, not only for me but my loved ones too.  But what cancer has taught her is that life is meant to be lived, enjoyed and cherished.

She is one of the lucky ones, a survivor.  But there’s never a day that goes by when I think of those who were not so lucky.

So when we saw this quote it inspired us to want to make a difference, to help raise awareness of this cruel disease.  To give hope and meaning to everyone that cancer touches, not just those living with cancer but the family and friends who support those affected.
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass; it is about dancing in the rain.”

Support me, Lezanne and her sister Teresa as we take on one of the toughest challenges there is in aid of Breast Cancer Care.  Without the dedication of charities like this, people like Lezanne may not be here now.  I want to raise as much money as possible to ensure their amazing work continues to help others.

Trek Peru is an inspirational and challenging charity trek along the Inca Trail culminating at Machu Picchu, lost city of the Incas. Walking 4,010 metres above sea level, camping in sub-zero temperatures at night, hiking over snow-capped mountains and facing the sweltering heat of the rainforest on the Inca Trail – trekking Peru is our challenge of a lifetime.

Support us as we dance in the rain together.  Thank you.
