Story

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and to anyone who is about to....    We really really appreciate it!

I wanted to do something memorable to mark 3 years since my accident when I broke my back. When I saw that Hell Runner, (advertised as 'The Toughest Half Marathon in the UK') was taking place in Delamere Forest, I knew this was the challenge I had to do.

It was exactly 3 years to the day from when my brilliant surgeon worked his genius to give me my 5 vertebrae metal spinal fusion. I was then told that I am lucky to walk, and I'll never run again, but thanks to his brilliance and a touch of my bloody mindedness, I am lucky to have disproved that.

My brother Mark joined me on this challenge and was a huge help pulling me, and others, out of various bogs!

We ran to support the amazing work that Forever Angels Baby Home do. I know firsthand how any money donated helps so many vulnerable children in Tanzania and what a difference we can make to their lives.
