Story

This year I am preparing to complete the London Classics Challenge, a feat which comprises of The London Marathon, the RideLondon 100 mile bike ride (on a tandem for added difficulty) and a 2 mile swim through the Serpentine Lake.

I am fundraising for The National Trust to help look after our amazing outdoor places. The Trust cares for 778 miles of coastline, 248,000 hectares of land and 56 villages to give but a few statistics. I hope you agree that The National Trust is an invaluable protector of Britain's countryside and heritage.

Living in London only makes me appreciate our beautiful coastline, rolling countryside and bluebell-filled woodlands even more. This great outdoors supports both our mental and physical well-being, giving space to run, swim and cycle. Your donation, no matter how big or small, would contribute towards ensuring that we can keep having fresh air adventures, sea-salted sandy toes and spend muddy afternoons getting lost in the woods.

About the charity

We're a charity that works to preserve and protect historic and open spaces for ever, for everyone. We look after historic houses, gardens, mills, coastline, forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, moorlands, islands, archaeological remains, nature reserves, villages and pubs.
