Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Myself and my colleague Lisa Chamberlain-Evans are taking part in the Great Wall of China Trek during October 2017. Please dig deep and help us reach our fundraising target .
Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.
The Alzheimer's Society believes that life doesn't end when dementia begins. All donations, no matter how small, will help towards either supporting a person who is already living with dementia or their carers or looking for a cure for future generations.
Lisa and I want to do this for all the people we have supported over the years. On a daily basis we see how Dementia affects people's lives. We want a world free of Dementia. This trek is for every single person we've supported with Dementia as well as their families and carers. Imagine not knowing who you are, who you've been, not recognising your children...
